MULTICULTURAL CALENDAR 2010

Tools to use: Paper, scanner, web publishing, design tools.
Objectives: The main idea of the project is the creation of a multicultural calendar for 2010 with drawings by children from different countries. Each drawing will write a short sentence in original language that express a desire for that month.
The participating students will have the beginning of 2010 hung in the classroom the multicultural calendar where remember the participating countries and work on the desire of the month.
Working Process: Each participating country is assigned a month of the year and a slogan.
Student in each country made a drawing of the month.
The drawing will be made in a sheet size(21 width, 29,5 height), will contain a desire (in original language) about the slogan. In the bottom right of the sheet indicating the student’s name, age and country. The drawing does not contain the name of the month and the days of the month, all of this will be made with Photoshop.
Each school will select the 3 best drawings (top date 22/12/09), will be scanned and will be send to the founding partner to publish on a blog.
During a week students from each country will vote the published drawings.
The drawings received more votes, will be chosen for making the multicultural calendar.
Expected results: The multicultural calendar is compiled by the founding partner with PhotoShop tool and will result in a formatted file .jpg will be distributed to all participating schools, who may make copies to hang in classrooms.
The tutors of the classes, if they wish, can work with their students about the desire that appears in each month.
